Refugee Week Service

A beautiful service at the end of Refugee Week was well attended on the 26th June at the Chapel. We welcomed visitors from Ukraine and Sudan and prayed together in three languages. There was a solemn sacredness as well as a joyful community spirit present especially when the many children joined the congregation from their children’s chapel group. They showed us the art they had made and we sang and danced together. One of the moving moments in the service was hearing five Ukrainian women sing for us and light candles during the candles of Joy and Concern.

The theme for Refugee Week this year is healing. Let us heal together as one heart. Amen.
